Community Spouse (CS)

The spouse, living at home, in a Personal Care Home, in an Assisted Living Facility, or receiving any level of care below Intermediate Care. The term Community Spouse includes an estranged spouse still legally married to the Institutionalized Spouse regardless of length of time the spouses have lived apart.
