Community Spouse (CS)

The spouse, living at home, in a Personal Care Home, in an Assisted Living Facility, or receiving any level of care below Intermediate Care.  The term Community Spouse includes and estranged spouse still legally married to the Institutional Spouse  regardless of length of time the spouses have lived apart.
