Benefits are restored only if the loss occurred within 12 months before the earliest of the following dates:
The date the household requests restored benefits or tells the CAO that it believes benefits were lost 7 CFR § 273.17(a)(2)(i)
The date the household requests a fair hearing or begins court action 7 CFR § 273.17(a)(2)(ii)
The date the CAO discovers or is notified of the loss 7 CFR § 273.17(a)(1)(ii) and 7 CFR § 273.17(a)(2)(iii)
