The Buy-In MAPPER system has historical information on all people who were enrolled in Buy-In before IEVS Exchange #7 (Available on the Office of Income Maintenance Intranet for Internal Users) came into use in December 1999.
Start an inquiry by entering the following information:
Sign On MAPPER – (Transmit)
SOE]SSN,94,Password – (Transmit)
INQY – (Transmit)
Use the menu to look up information using one of the following:
The claim account number (CAN)
The Social Security number (SSN)
The county record number (CRN)
Enter the first nine digits of the claim account number (CAN).
Transmit; The system will show Buy-In information for that claim account number.
To return to the menu, type RSM in any field in the control line, and transmit.
Enter the recipient’s nine-digit Social Security number (SSN).
Transmit; The system will show Buy-In information for that Social Security number.
To return to the menu, type RSM in any field of the control line, and transmit.
Enter the nine-digit county record number.
Transmit; The system will show Buy-In information for that county record number.
To return to the menu, type RSM in any field in the control line, and transmit.
The system will display one of the following error messages when it cannot find a record:
Claim account number is not found or is wrong.
Social security number is not found or is wrong.
County record number is not found or is wrong.
The Buy-In transaction code is a four-digit code used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Commonwealth to accrete, delete, or change Buy-In records or to report errors concerning Buy-In individuals.
Each transaction code has a prefix and a suffix. The prefix code tells what the action is, and the suffix code tells why the action was started or tells more about the prefix code.
