A commercial boarding home is a business licensed to provide meals and lodging for payment. In areas that do not require a license, a boarding home is defined as a business that provides meals and lodging with the intent to make a profit.
Residents of boarding homes are not eligible to participate in SNAP unless the boarding home qualifies as a GLA. (See Section 511.7.)
