Allentown School District has a program that focuses on primary health preventive and treatment services. Participating providers are: Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, Sacred Heart Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.
The hospitals are staffed with Certified Nurse Practitioners who provide:
Immunizations,
Early Periodic Screening,
Diagnosis and Treatment Physicals,
Hemoglobin testing,
Day care and routine physicals,
Sick care,
Chronic disease management, and
Referrals for special medical and dental care.

The Philadelphia School District entered into a partnership with a non-profit community-based health care organization, Quality Community Health Care, Inc,. to offer comprehensive preventive and acute care treatment services which combine pediatric, social work and mental health services for the children enrolled at the George Meade Elementary school in north Philadelphia.
