489.4 Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) HCBS Waiver Programs

489.41 General

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) administers the Adult Community Autism Program (ACAP) as well as the three HCBS programs listed in this section.

The ODP works with individuals who have a diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability to provide needed supports and services for both the individual and family members.  The ODP administers these services through County Mental Health for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (MH/ID) program offices.

The county MH/ID office determines an individual’s functional eligibility for one of its HCBS programs.  If an individual is found eligible, he or she will receive a supports coordinator.

The ODP also works with individuals who have received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Through its Bureau of Autism Services (BAS), the ODP works to provide needed services and supports to individuals with autism spectrum disorder.  The BAS determines an individual’s functional eligibility for one of its programs.

The CAO determines financial eligibility for the ODP’s HCBS programs and for the ACAP.
