A household with a striker is not eligible for SNAP benefits unless the household was eligible the day before the strike began and is currently eligible. 7 CFR § 273.1(e)
The CAO must decide whether an applicant household was eligible before the strike by using the day before the strike as the application date and determining eligibility as if the strike did not occur. 7 CFR § 273.1(e)(1)
For currently certified households, the benefit amount may not be increased if the striker’s income has decreased because of the strike. 7 CFR § 273.1(e)(2)
