The CAO must give the household a Notice of Eligibility listing the begin and end dates of the certification period.
For an initial application, the CAO must provide the notice as soon as the eligibility determination is made, no later than 30 days from the application date. 7 CFR § 273.10(g)(1)
For a renewal, the CAO must provide the notice before the end of the current certification period. 7 CFR § 273.10(g)(2)
In expedited cases when the certification period is longer than one month and verification is pending, the notice must explain that benefits will stop if verification is not provided. 7 CFR § 273.10(g)(1)(i)(B)
The system will issue the PA 10-SP before the end of the certification period for any household with a certification period of three months or more.
