Some TANF individuals who have limited employability or a temporary incapacity according to their medical assessment form are able to participate with Work Ready for education, skills training and work activity to enable the individual to become self sufficient.
Individuals who are eligible to enroll with Work Ready are:
Receiving TANF at time of enrollment;
Not enrolled in an employment and training activity either through a contractor or self-initiated through the CAO and;
Not exempt at the time of enrollment, unless they volunteer to participate.
Work Ready offers employment and training services designed to serve primarily individuals who have substantial barriers that interfere with their full engagement in work activities to remain in compliance with federal requirements.
An Individual who applies for TANF or who is a recipient with a medical assessment form may comply in activities with hourly limitations,
Complete or update the AMR.
Change good cause or exempt codes in the electronic Client Information System (eCIS).
Complete a referral in eCIS to the Work Ready Program by entering the WR project code.
Provide a copy of the medical assessment form to the contractor to determine the extent of activities the client can participate in, if applicable.

Enter the referral date.
Enter the appointment date.
Update as necessary or required.
Case Summary screen
Enter one of the following program status codes:
00 for applicants or recipients
08 for Extended TANF recipients
09 if Extended TANF eligibility is based on domestic violence.
Individuals who have received more than 1,830 days of TANF are eligible to enroll in Work Ready. However, the expected hours of participation are 30 hours per week, unless the individual has good cause.
