The CAO will consider the budget group’s countable earned and unearned income when completing: 55 Pa. Code § 183.11
The Prospective Determination of Need (PDN); and
The computation of the amount of the monthly assistance payment.
When a budget group reports a change in income or circumstances, the CAO will determine if the change affects eligibility or the monthly assistance payment amount. See Section 170.5 for CAO responsibility for acting on changes.
A change in Cash eligibility or the payment amount may also affect the budget group's eligibility for other benefits, such as medical assistance or SNAP. If a cash budget also receives SNAP, the CAO must review SNAP eligibility when there is a change in the cash payment.
Reminder: The CAO will act on all reported changes, regardless of the program of assistance for which the change was reported or whether the client was required to report the change, i.e. a change reported with a LIHEAP application will be applied to any TANF, SNAP or MA benefits the household is receiving. The CAO will act on the change and remind the client of his/her reporting requirements.
