A renewal is a periodic review of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligibility factors that are subject to change.
A renewal may be complete or partial. 55 Pa. Code § 133.23(a)(1)(i) 55 Pa. Code § 133.23(b)(1)
The CAO must review a recipient's eligibility at regularly scheduled time periods and when circumstances change.
The CAO must decide when to redetermine eligibility based on expected changes in the client's circumstances and on the required time frames for each assistance category. 55 Pa. Code § 133.24(b)(2)
If a recipient no longer meets the eligibility requirements for TANF, the CAO must take action to discontinue benefits and determine eligibility for other programs. 55 Pa. Code § 133.1(a)
The CAO may complete a renewal of TANF eligibility at the same time as a renewal for other programs.
