321.4 Proof of Age

An individual’s age is proven using his or her Social Security number in SDX. The CAO must ask for proof of age only if SDX and the individual’s application show different Social Security number ages. In that case, the CAO must ask for proof of age. Examples of acceptable proof include, but are not limited to, the following:

The CAO must confirm that anyone under 21 who claims to be emancipated is telling the truth. Proof includes, but is not limited to, the following:

 

 

NOTE:  If a birth certificate is required from an individual born in Puerto Rico, the CAO must only accept a birth certificate issued on or after July 1, 2010.
