A complete renewal of MNO eligibility is required as follows: 55 Pa. Code § 133.84(c)
At least every twelve months for categories TC, TU, TA, and TJ
At least every six months for category TD
A partial renewal (using the SAR form) is required every six months for categories TC, TU, TA, and TJ. 55 Pa. Code § 133.84(d)
Note: See Chapter 376, Renewal, for complete information the renewal process.
The CAO will figure out continuing eligibility again for MNO at the six-month renewal. Eligibility is decided on for a new six-month period beginning with the first day of the calendar month following the current six-month period. The CAO must decide on eligibility by estimating income and expenses over the new six-month period using the rules in Section 369.4, Continuing MNO.
Note: The CAO will always decide whether the applicant/recipient group or a member may qualify for NMP instead of MNO
If the renewal process results in the applicant/recipient group’s ineligibility for continued MNO, the CAO will stop MNO after giving proper notice.
