To be eligible for a TANF-related and Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI)-related categories of TC/TU and MG 27, an individual age 21 or older (19 or older for MAGI) must be a specified relative and be responsible for the care and control of a dependent child.
NOTE: If the specified relative is under age 21, the category is MG 27 or TC. If the specified relative is age 65 or older, the category is PH, PG, PA or TA.
A dependent child is a child who is under age 18 or is 18 years old and a full-time student in a secondary school or at the same level in a vocational or technical school.
NOTE: The child must meet the age requirements for the specified relative to be eligible for Medical Assistance (MA) in a TANF-related or the MG 27 category.
