If QC findings adversely affect a client, he or she may exercise the right of appeal. If the decision of the hearing officer is in favor of the recipient, QC can change the findings in either the TANF program or the Medicaid program.
When the recipient’s appeal is sustained, the CAO notifies the Area Manager by sending him a copy of the hearing decision. The Area Manager forwards the hearing decision to QC.
Reminder: A hearing decision applies only to the case under appeal.
