The CAO will not count delayed income until it is actually received. The person who is due the money must:
Verify that they have tried to secure the possible income.
Agree to repay DHS the amount of the assistance received while waiting receipt of the potential income.
Sign the appropriate reimbursement agreement forms and provide the necessary information.
The CAO will send the signed reimbursement agreement forms to the Office of State Inspector General (OSIG).
The CAO will create an alert for the anticipated date of receipt of the delayed income. When the income is received, it is considered either earned or unearned lump sum. See Chapter 157, Lump Sum.
