Past Employ is an employment verification service that provides dates of employment, position, title, and gross salary. The service is free for social service agencies. No preregistration is necessary, and anyone can use the service. Past Employ does not provide a list of employers who use their service.
The worker sends a Request for Employment/Earnings Information, PA 78 to the employer first. If the employer responds back that it uses Past Employ, follow the guidelines below:
Requests must contain the client’s name, Social Security number, and employer name. You may use a PA 78, but be sure to include the employer name.
Include the address, fax number, or e-mail where the results should be sent.
Fax the request to 1-866-941-7278 ATTN: Past Employ.
Turnaround time is approximately three days or less.
