If two households share a fuel tank, furnace, or meter, both households may be eligible for LIHEAP benefits if they can prove they have separate addresses or heating accounts. If eligible, both households would receive the full amount that they would otherwise be entitled to.
If the households do not have separate addresses or heating accounts, only the person who pays the provider can receive benefits.
