315.7 Renewals

A complete renewal is required every twelve months.   Chapter 376, Renewal.

• The PA 600HC is the preferred paper form used at renewal.

• Documentary evidence of citizenship, nationality and identity must be contained in the case record.

• Ensure that the child's medical condition has not changed.

NOTE: If the child’s family did not follow through with providing the medical documentation needed for the MRT review process, the CAO will review the case record to see if the family provided the requested medical documentation for MRT.

• • • • • If the requested medical documentation is in the case record, then complete an MRT referral.
        • If the requested medical documentation is not in the case record, then follow the steps outlined in MAEH 315.5, Determining Eligibility.

• Review the child for all other MA categories, see MAEH 315.1 General Policy, prior to renewing the Children with Special Needs Category.

• ECIS will set the renewal due date. The CAO will review and change the renewal date if required. The system will set a work item for the due date.
