370.4 Failure to Report Changes

An overpayment may happen when an individual does not report a change. The CAO will refer overpayments to the Office of Inspector General (OIG). The OIG will look at why the individual did not report the change and decide whether to take legal action or try to get the money back. Action will be taken only if the OIG decides that DHS paid for medical services during a period when the individual was not eligible to receive MA.
