The CAO may disqualify a person from acting as an AR for up to one year if the CAO has evidence that the AR has:
Misrepresented a household’s circumstances;
Knowingly provided false information about the household; or
Made improper use of benefits.
NOTE: The CAO must not disqualify a group living arrangement (GLA) or a drug or alcohol treatment center acting as an AR for its residents.
The CAO must send an Advance Notice of Adverse Action to the household and to the AR 30 days before the disqualification date. The notice must include:
The proposed action;
The reason for the proposed action;
The household’s right to ask for a fair hearing;
The telephone number of the CAO; and
The name of the person to contact for more information (if possible).
