512.4 Termination of Categorical or Expanded Categorical  Eligibility

The household may no longer be categorically eligible when cash assistance or Supplemental Security Income ( SSI) benefits end during the certification period .

The household may no longer qualify for SNAP under expanded categorical eligibility criteria when income exceeds the specified limits or when the household has a disqualified member (See Chapter 512.1 for expanded categorical eligibility income limits and disqualification reasons). 

The County Assitance Office ( CAO) will review all SNAP eligibility requirements to see whether the household remains eligible.

The CAO will send the appropriate notice informing the household of any change in eligibility or benefit level.
