A person may not receive SNAP benefits in more than one household, county, or state in the same month.

Exception: A resident of a shelter for battered persons may receive more than one SNAP issuance in a month if the resident was a member of the alleged abuser’s SNAP household. (See Chapter 511.)

NOTE: Puerto Rico's Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) is not equivalent to SNAP. Receipt of NAP benefits can not be considered as duplicate participation in SNAP.
