The CAO will verify a resource only if it affects household eligibility and is questionable.
The household must identify resources on the application, Semi-Annual Report and Renewal forms with enough detail to allow verification.
If verification is required because of questionable information, the CAO will:
Explain in the case record why information was questionable and required proof.
Explain what proof was provided.
Review with the applicant the possibility of unreported resources.
Make collateral contacts if there is doubt. (See Section 578.5.)
Reminder: The CAO must give the household at least 10 days to provide required verification.
