572.2 SNAP Changes

SNAP changes include adjustments to the following:  

 7 CFR § 273.12(e)(1)

• Income eligibility standards (gross/net income test and eligibility limit)

• Shelter and dependent care deductions

• Thrifty Food Plan (maximum benefit)

• Standard deduction

• Utility standard

The CAO does not need to notify the household of mass changes in SNAP. The system will issue a notice to the household.   7 CFR § 273.12(e)(1)(ii)
