The CAO may approve special allowances for supportive services for ETP participants to prepare for, seek, accept, or maintain education, training, or employment. The criteria and benefit amounts are the same for both cash assistance and SNAP recipients. (See Cash Assistance Handbook, Chapter 138.)
SNAP recipients cannot receive special allowances for meals.
SNAP special allowances related to employment and training activities are processed as OTI through county disbursement for each month that the need exists. (See Cash Assistance Handbook.)
