880.5 Records and Reports

The Bureau of Equal Opportunity maintains a file so that it can identify complaints and violations. When the complaint is satisfied, the decision about what will be done is noted. Records are kept for at least three years, or as long as a Federal audit might require.

All materials relating to the complaint, its investigation, correspondence and actions that were taken, and how it was settled are kept so that it can be reviewed as needed.
