An increase in the family size allowance (FSA) affects the eligibility and the amount of the cash payment beginning with the first payment in the month of the increase. A change in the cash payment due to an increase in the FSA may affect eligibility for other programs.
The CAO will be advised of the effective date of the increase and the process by which each budget will receive the increase. The system will automatically increase the FSA and monthly assistance payment for most budgets that are open on the date the change is effective.
